Years ago I had planned on producing something KATY-B related; completely gave up on the idea, though. I’m not too sure why, I think it was mainly due to time constraints, or I was mostly busy with ‘life’, prioritising a few issues and problems (most probably). This piece potentially could have become ‘something’, but due to my interest at the time (with the cancelled idea of me even wanting to create some form of KATY B related remix), I decided to just continue working with this piece with no real incentive. I just wanted it done and out of the way.

There is no ‘real’ lore behind this track, no research, just pure improvisation; and for that, I’ve decided to name the track ‘TEMPLATE TRACK 1’.

I have a few other tracks out there that really have no back story to them; they’re either produced out of experimentation, or just for the sake of producing something from nothing.

HELLO- (Update)

It’s been a while, hasn’t it?

There is a lot I could say about my absence; think I’ll spare the details (for now). To make a really long story short, a few obstacles have appeared and I currently need to brush them out of the way before I can resume, properly. For starters, my workstation is almost dead; in fact, the laptop I use to produce music is currently dying. The monitor tends to flicker every now and then, so much to say that now it’s currently on the verge of completely whitening out- WHICH MEANS that I would need to send it off for repairs; which I am willing to do, but it’s quite costly. Either that, or I actually try and transport all of my saved files from one station to another. God knows how much unfinished/WIP projects I have on my laptop, I’m really not sure how long the transfer would take- probably long enough’til the screen whitens out during transfer. So that’s one issue.

Second issue is that I am currently out of employment; how it happened is probably one the most unprofessional turn of events I have experienced up to date. To make humour of the situation; as well as to give a better illustration of an example of how it happened.

Imagine your partner telling you they need time to think. They keep you waiting in suspense, not knowing what will happen, 4 weeks before they come back home from a holiday, they send you a text message telling you it isn’t going to work out… (well, for my unemployment, I was informed via mail…)

Excuse the language-sandwich, but it’s pretty fucked up, right?

Anyway, life moves on and so will I. For the meantime, I won’t be posting anything ‘new’ – but I will try my best to break the mould. It’s been a while since I’ve actually produced anything; it’s quite worrying. That is not the ‘Isaac’ way. Before this year ends, I’ll be sure to produce something (or a handful of things)-

Apologies in advance if I am unable to. (Issue 3 and 4 are a little too personal)- I don’t fancy the idea of using this platform as a means to rant, I’ll keep myself contained. I’m here to create and share art.

After many ups and downs, I am most certainly glad to have finally release the Josie Rizal Character Theme I produced over a year ago. I must say; quite embarrassed that it took me so long, but again, I must apologise for the prolonged delay. Haha, again- I had to take care of many things; prioritise many things- so much to say that the idea of producing/working on that piece (and music alone) was (temporarily) not a priority. I’m sure you’d understand.

TEKKEN 7 | Josie Rizal – Get Ready to Fly (Sampaguita Festival)

I would just like to say that I am terribly sorry. I had uploaded a teaser of this track last year? If I’m not mistaken. If not last year… then most probably two years ago. It was a really long time. I’ve just been busy with life, issues, problems, fighting demons, and just experiencing disturbances at full force. A bit of me being a perfectionist is also one of the main reasons as to why this track is so late. So I just want to start off by apologising to those who have been patiently waiting.

The Lore behind this track.

The foundation of this track was influenced by Josie Rizal’s stance animation. Notice this; listening to this track whilst watching her, you’ll notice that she syncs with the beat, as if she’s dancing as well as fighting to the beat. As this track belongs to Josie, I felt that the track alone should contain some characteristics of her as a character as well as her background; as she is indeed from the Philippines.
I also wanted to produce something that would or could be used in a festival. Doing research on the types of festivals that take place in the Philippines also helped me to structure the aesthetics and style of her Character theme.
