Art Academy Sketchpad

Art Academy Sketchpad is a Nintendo Wii U application which allows you to freely draw. It’s very much like a digital art room which provides you with a sum of artistic equipment for you to work with. Your base is a canvas and you get to work from pencils, to colouring Pencils, and from colouring pencils to something which is a little more permanent. It’s a great app. For myself, it’s quite hard to be consistent, it was just recently where I thought that I should give it a shot. When I first downloaded it, it seemed quite addictive.

Art Academy™: SketchPad puts advanced drawing tools at your fingertips with the Wii U™ GamePad controller. You can sketch with realistic graphite and colored pencils, and draw designs with pastels. Create your own masterpieces and share them with others on Miiverse™. (http://artacademy.nintendo.com/sketchpad/)

I’ve seen so many great talent on the Miiverse. I’ve always thought about using the Wii U gamepad to draw something for others to see, but with my large hands and uncomfortably small stylus pen and screen to draw on, it makes it almost impossible for one to draw in the accuracy they’d prefer. To be honest, I’m quite shocked others are able to pull of what they’ve pulled off with such a small screen and stylus to work with. It’s been a while since I’ve actually used my Wacom Bamboo fun Tablet, too. It’s constantly laggy and very inaccurate. I must purchase myself a new one at some point. I’ve decided to share this piece as I don’t have any plans for making this look much more refined in the future; just the minor edits, and I’ll be keeping to my base instruments – which are 2H and HB, (might have been 2B, can’t quite remember.)
