There is a lot I could say about my absence; think I’ll spare the details (for now). To make a really long story short, a few obstacles have appeared and I currently need to brush them out of the way before I can resume, properly. For starters, my workstation is almost dead; in fact the laptop I use to produce music is currently dying. The monitor tends to flicker every now and then, so much to say that now it’s currently on the verge of completely whitening out- WHICH MEANS that I would need to send it off for repairs; which I am willing to do, but it’s quite costly. Either that, or I actually try and transport all of my saved files from one station to another. God knows how much unfinished/WIP projects I have on my laptop, I’m really not sure how long the transfer would take- probably long enough’til the screen whitens out during transfer. So that’s one issue.
Second issue is that I am currently out of employment; how it happened is probably one the most unprofessional turn of events I have experienced up to date. To make humour of the situation; as well as to give a better illustration of an example of how it happened.
Imagine your partner telling you they need time to think. They keep you waiting in suspense, not knowing what will happen, 4 weeks before they go on holiday, they send you a text message telling you it isn’t going to work out. Via text message.
Excuse the language sandwich, but it’s pretty fucked up, right?
Anyway, life moves on and so will I. For the meantime, I won’t be posting anything ‘new’ – but I will try my best to break the mould. It’s been a while since I’ve actually produced anything; it’s quite worrying, that is not the ‘Isaac’ way. Before this year ends, I’ll be sure to produce something (or a handful of things)-
Apologies in advance if I am unable to. (Issue 3 and 4 are a little too personal)- I don’t fancy the idea of using this platform as a means to rant, I’ll keep myself contained. I’m here to create and share art.
Sealed Ground -Darkest Depths / Discovery- was primarily going to be a BGM Alternative for Gigan Rocks, but I spent some time meditating on the idea and purpose of this piece. Proceeding with a logical approach; would I have enough time to produce what I would like to produce with the time given? Realistically speaking, I really didn’t. Unfortunately; instead of making a fully-fledged stage BGM, I’ve resorted to producing a ‘Cut scene-moment’ BGM- something that illuminates suspense, tension, unawareness, discovery; Gigan Rocks. I personally do believe that I could have done a lot more with this piece. There is always a next time!
To be honest, creating this piece was indeed fun. Most definitely a challenge, though. The main reason as to why I say it was a challenge is that at the very early stages of producing this track, I really had no idea how to sculpt this piece. (Well, I already had a theme in mind. I just didn’t know how to come across it)-.After creating so many versions of this piece; I would usually merge them with different types of games of which I feel fitted the BGM in theme and tempo. Rhythm based games, fast action paced games, futuristic games, and even TEKKEN games. (to be continued)
TEKKEN 7 | Cube Gardens (Geometric Planes)
DESCRIPTION + DOWNLOAD BELOW
Cube Gardens – Custom BGM Produced by yours truly. This track has a handful of influences/ideas. One of which is in fact AJURIKA (Akitaka Tohyama)- been a fan of him ever since; he’s my all-time favourite music producer, no kidding, and each and every time I create a music piece, I add a bit of AJURIKA to it. –of course having my own style.
Cube Gardens is a custom track/BGM I produced for GEOMETRIC PLANES.
And also, please go and search up AJURIKA/Akitaka Tohyama. His work is amazing.
After many ups and downs, I am most certainly glad to have finally release the Josie Rizal Character Theme I produced over a year ago. I must say; quite embarrassed that it took me so long, but again, I must apologise for the prolonged delay. Haha, again- I had to take care of many things; prioritise many things- so much to say that the idea of producing/working on that piece (and music alone) was (temporarily) not a priority. I’m sure you’d understand.
TEKKEN 7 | Josie Rizal – Get Ready to Fly (Sampaguita Festival)
DESCRIPTION + DOWNLOAD BELOW
I would just like to say that I am terribly sorry. I had uploaded a teaser of this track last year? If I’m not mistaken. If not last year… then most probably two years ago. It was a really long time. I’ve just been busy with life, issues, problems, fighting demons, and just experiencing disturbances at full force. A bit of me being a perfectionist is also one of the main reasons as to why this track is so late. So I just want to start off by apologising to those who have been patiently waiting.
The Lore behind this track.
The foundation of this track was influenced by Josie Rizal’s stance animation. Notice this; listening to this track whilst watching her, you’ll notice that she syncs with the beat, as if she’s dancing as well as fighting to the beat. As this track belongs to Josie, I felt that the track alone should contain some characteristics of her as a character as well as her background; as she is indeed from the Philippines.
I also wanted to produce something that would or could be used in a festival. Doing research on the types of festivals that take place in the Philippines also helped me to structure the aesthetics and style of her Character theme.
I know. It’s been far too long. I would like to apologise on my absence. Many things have been popping up; many unexplained and unpredicted issues have been coming to light; presenting themselves as obstacles.
I am back. I needed a break for a while; from most things, actually. Unfortunately, I haven’t really created much (apart from my upcoming posts- I really haven’t had the time to sit and create. I’ve also spent the majority of my time away prioritising things that have no correlation to the Arts)
So- this post is pretty much a notification to inform you all that I’m back…and hopefully- “On it like Sonic”
I’ve recently just updated the ‘TUTORIAL’ page on my website. The page consist of this programme that I generated years ago and have recently remade from scratch. I’ve created video tutorials for all, and I’ve also managed to generate a PDF version for those who of course…much prefer an unanimated version, as the video format is a bit of a stretch on duration. (Slow and steady wins the race, apparently… so you know – do as you feel fit)
As you may have noticed I’m currently working on a project of my own; something small to keep the engine running and the creative mind thinking. The Project is called 「UNIVERSE 7」– U7 will contain a set of 7 images, but as of now I will upload 3 images out of the 7. The remaining 4 images are currently under design process. However, as there will be 7 in total, there will be a duplication of each source. 7 will be watermarked, and the other set of 7 will be untouched; this decision may change. That being said, this is for those who much prefer to obtain an image without any visual interferences – in addition to that, the watermarks alone are an indication of the project and it’s maker (origin), but I do understand watermarks can be a bit of a drag; I’m quite picky myself, actually.
Not an overkill, nothing too fancy; something subtle and sophisticated. As I produce work of my own, I often contemplate on the idea of being a perfectionist, and how that alone can stagger my ability. So, I’ve set a side my pride of a perfectionist and I’ll accept what I’ve placed in front of me, knowing in the future to come I’ll progress even further.
So, these are 4 of the 7 sources I’m willing to share to you today.
Hey yo, it’s been a while. Sorry about that, I was away; had quite a lot of issues to sort out. I was also abroad for a couple of days, visiting some family; unfortunately the husband of a family relative had passed away so my family and I had to fly across the ocean to comfort my extended family – as well as to attend to a funeral and church services. Unfortunately I was unable to take anything with me to resume my design/work flow. You could say that I’ve been on pause for a week and a few days. I’m now back and I’m hoping to work as hard as I can, hoping to be a lot more optimistic this time, and I’m also hoping I can provide a lot more work this time round.
P.S- Still currently searching for Jobs, so again – this may seem of a contradiction, but if uploads and work are stagnant, apologies.
A few experimental mock-ups for future projects. Checking Lock Screen Preferences. It seems like STILL is the most fitted preference used for wallpapers of such calibre. Red/Crimson coloured wallpaper is primarily vertical. The Blue/Emerald coloured wallpaper is primarily horizontal.
